Step into Spain’s Galicia

The abundant coastal region in the northwest of Spain and a cozy restaurant in the middle of the Heights. With its Spanish tile and dark wood interior surrounding a steady cast of jovial regulars, a dinner at Galicia can deceptively seem like a lazy night in Spain.

Serving authentic Spanish cuisine from the Galicia region and Latin food, Galicia’s rare dishes are personally prepared by owner Ramon Calo and his wife using fresh ingredients imported from their hometown.

A wine list based on regional Spanish wines and a well-regarded sangria go nicely with their tapas, made of quality- imported ingredients. For an irresistible combination try the jamón serrano (cured ham sliced thin like prosciutto but better) with Manchego cheese. Calo also recommends his seafood paella, which generously serves two.

Live music on the weekends and plenty of discreet nooks to hide away makes Galicia great for a date or a convergence of friends.
